Odiko Godwin's EPL MW 19 Predictions

I'm glad to pen down my last post for the year. I like to thank every reader and follower of this blog. Your supports have been inspiring. 2016 was quite an eventful and surprise-filled one; in the world of football. And we hope 2017 gets even better.

Here are my Match Week 19 predictions:

HULL CITY VS EVERTON

Hull haven't gotten anything from their last 3 fixtures; loosing all. It would therefore, be difficult for them to get something from this encounter. Everton would be coming into this one beaming in confidence; after their triumphant display against current league title holders Leicester City on Monday.

MY PREDICTION: Hull City 1-2 Everton

BURNLEY VS SUNDERLAND

Burnley 1-0  victory over Middlesbrough last week, was among the other results I correctly called, alongside Sunderland's 3-1 defeat at United. It would be interesting to see how this one goes, but I still feel Burnley's amazing record at home would just see them conquer Sunderland by the skin of the teeth.

MY PREDICTION: Burnley 1-0 Sunderland

CHELSEA VS STOKE CITY

Stoke City suffered a horrific loss at Liverpool on Tuesday and would be looking to avoid that, when they face Premier League most in-form side Chelsea. Though, it would be difficult for Stoke to get anything from this one, but, I expect Stoke to fight real hard and cause Chelsea many worries.

MY PREDICTION: Chelsea 1-0 Stoke City

LEICESTER VS WEST HAM

This would present Claudio Ranieri and his wards an opportunity to end 2016 on a high; after a disappointing title defense so far. But, West ham would make that aim difficult for the Foxes after impressing in their last 3 matches; securing 7-points.

MY PREDICTION: Leicester 2-1 West Ham

MANCHESTER UNITED VS MIDDLESBROUGH

The Red Devils would be looking to extend their winning streak to four games, when Aiktor Karankar's men visit Old Trafford. Jose Mourinho and Aiktor Karankar are no strangers to each other; after their time together at Real Madrid as manager and assistant respectively. United are enjoying purple patch at the moment and I would be expecting them to win this one and ensure a scintillating end to the year.

MY PREDICTION: Manutd 2-0 Middlesbrough

SOUTHAMPTON VS WEST BROM

Southampton have been impressing until their shocking1-4 thumping to Spurs on Wednesday. West Brom would also try to test their(Soton) resolve, when both side clash on Saturday. It would be interesting to see how this one pans out. But I just expect The Saints to narrowly win this clash.

MY PREDICTION: Southampton 2-1 West Brom

SWANSEA VS BOURNEMOUTH

Both sides suffered heavy defeats last time out. The defeat costed manager Bob Bradley his job, after a disappointing stint at the Welsh side. With Bayern Munich assistant manager Paul Clement emerging as favorite to fill the vacant position. Eddie Howe would be wanting his side to take advantage of Swansea'crisis; and cause the Welsh side more discommode when he faces temporary manager, Alan Curtis on Saturday.

MY PREDICTION: Swansea 0-0 Bournemouth

LIVERPOOL VS MANCHESTER CITY

The German rivalry reincarnated in England should just be the tag for this clash. It would really be interesting to see how both managers set their team out, when they tackle each other in a battle of two great master-tactcians. Klopp is known for his high pressing tactics, why his counterpart fancy a probing and intricate style of play. But both managers prefer to build up play from the back and that sets this tie for an entertaining one. It would be interesting to see if Pep would throw Aguero into his starting lineup after just completing his 4-game ban. Difficult to call, but would just settle for a stalemate in an encounter that promises to be highly entertaining.

MY PREDICTION: Liverpool 1-1 Man City

WATFORD VS SPURS

Watford would be looking to find inspiration from somewhere in other to defeat this Spurs team. Though Watford have managed 4 points from their last two home encounters, it would be a different ball game when Spurs visit.

MY PREDICTION: Watford 0-1 Spurs

ARSENAL VS CRYSTAL PALACE

Arsenal might still require a moment of brilliance to overcome a Sam Allardyce led Crystal Palace. Arsenal should be coming into this one more confident than they were on Monday when they faced West Brom. I expect Wenger's superiority over 'Big Sam' to just continue with a slim and difficult win over ex Sunderland boss on Sunday.

MY PREDICTION: Arsenal 2-0 Crystal Palace
