Great to comment my thoughts and predictions again. An action-packed midweek of Premier League football; saw teams rue missed points, and some gain crucial points. Time for a quick take on how this weekends action might pan out.
CRYSTAL PALACE VS CHELSEA
Chelsea have been fantastic so far(winning every of their last 10 games) and even Palace would be glad to get anything from this clash. But, with Palace still on the road to recovery after suffering a last minute heartbreak from Manutd in mid week, and Chelsea basking in confidence, I expect Chelsea to still continue their fine run of form- winning slim here.
MY PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 1-2 Chelsea
MIDDLESBROUGH VS SWANSEA CITY
It wasn't a happy midweek for fans of both sides - as they were beaten respectively. But they now have a chance to make up for the lost points(in mid week) when they lock horns at the Riverside stadium. This would be difficult to call, but Middlesbrough have been slightly - decent at home and I expect them to win.
MY PREDICTION: Middlesbrough 1-0 Swansea
STOKE CITY VS LEICESTER CITY
Leicester can't just get their Premier League season running at the moment, after they got beat at Bournemouth in midweek, just after an impressive 4-2 triumph over Man City the preceding weekend. Leicester have also proved to be bad Travellers; gaining only one point in their last 5 matches away from home.
MY PREDICTION: Stoke City 1-1 Leicester City
SUNDERLAND VS WATFORD
David Moyes would be hoping his wards put in the kind of performance that saw them record wins over the likes of Leicester, Hull and Bournemouth, when he faces Walter Mazzarri's Watford at the Stadium of Light. It would be interesting to watch how things play out between the two team, while I settle for a stalemate result here.
MY PREDICTION: Sunderland 0-0 Watford
WEST HAM UNITED VS HULL CITY
Placed 19th on the log and yet to secure a win in their last 5 Premier League matches, Hull City come into this one in a dilapidated and battered state. West Ham would be looking to improve on their showing over Burnley in midweek, and would want to do that comfortably.
MY PREDICTION: West Ham 2-0 Hull City
WEST BROM VS MANCHESTER UNITED
West Brom have been impressive at home recently; winning their last 3 consecutive home games comfortably. But come against a resurgent United side - looking to build on their last 2 wins in the league. United would have to take all their chances in this one, as West Brom won't gift too many chanes away.
MY PREDICTION: West Brom 1-2 Manutd
BOURNEMOUTH VS SOUTHAMPTON
This one promises to be intriguing, as two decent Premier League sides come against each other. Eddie Howe has done brilliantly well with this Bournemouth side, but so do Claude Puel with his Soton side. Both teams are tied on 21 points on the log, with Southampton placed ahead on 9th position only on superior goal difference. This one is definitely poised to end in stalemate.
MY PREDICTION: Bournemouth 0-0 Southampton
MANCHESTER CITY VS ARSENAL
Definitely, the clash of the week. Pep Guardiola battles Arsene Wenger, in what promises to be entertainment non-stop. Judging by their form in the league, Arsenal could be considered favorites heading into this clash. But a Pep Guardiola tutored side definitely commands respect and fear. I expect the game to live up to the hype, as both teams wrestle for the bragging right in the race for the title. But it is City that would have to battle without their talisman, Sergio Aguero; after they lost the mercurial striker to suspension.
MY PREDICTION: Man City 1-2 Arsenal
SPURS VS BURNLEY
Spurs would be looking to continue from where they stopped, after their 3-0 win over Hull in midweek. Burnley haven't been good on the road, I expect them to put everything into this clash to change that. But, Spurs would be too-much a task for Sean Dyche's men to tackle.
MY PREDICTION: Spurs 2-0 Burnley
EVERTON VS LIVERPOOL
Another interesting fixture to look out for this Match Week, as this two Merseyside teams clash. Liverpool look more in-form heading into this, but with Everton having to defeat a highly rated Arsenal side in midweek, it would be dangerous not to fancy an Everton chance in this one; as Everton would be inspired by their midweek triumph when they battle The Reds in what promises to be a 'fiery' merseyside derby.
MY Prediction: Everton 2-2 Liverpool
