Another English Premier League weekend is just upon us - with lots of exciting fixtures to look out for. I will be giving my thoughts, and droping my predictions as usual.
BURNLEY VS MANCHESTER CITY
Syne Dyche would be seeking to rally his troops from Monday Night defeat at West brom- when they face the Citizens lunch time on Saturday. But Man city would be looking to consolidate on last weekend's Yaya Toure inspired win at Crystal palace, enabling for an enterprising clash to see. With Yaya Toure still seeking to prove his place in the starting lineup shouldn't have been in doubt, I expect City to win this tie.
MY PREDICTION: Burnley 1-2 Man City
HULL CITY VS WEST BROM
West Brom are not as convincing away from home as they are at home. But I still expect them to get something out of this tie against a weakened Hull City side - as West Brom would be more inspired going into this clash - after their 4-0 victory over Burnley on Monday Night.
MY PREDICTION: Hull City 1-1 West Brom
LEICESTER CITY VS MIDDLESBROUGH
This clash last season would have been a convincing victory for Leicester no doubt. But the Foxes have seen their League form diminish at the expense of a scintillating UEFA Champions League form; which have seen them top their group and secure qualification to the knockout phase with one more game to spare. Middlesbrough would definitely be looking and wanting to capitalize on Leicester's League mishaps - when both sides clash at the King Powers Stadium on Saturday. I expect Leicester to show more commitment in the League - with qualifications to the next round well secured in the UCL.
MY PREDICTIONS: Leicester City 2-1 Middlesbrough
LIVERPOOL VS SUNDERLAND
This sort of fixture presents the Reds with an opportunity to rediscover their scoring form after their goalless draw at Southampton last weekend. But Liverpool might not find that task easy to undertake; as they face a rejuvenated Sunderland side - that seems to have woken up from their early season slumber - with back to back league wins.
MY PREDICTION: Liverpool 3-1 Sunderland
SWANSEA CITY VS CRYSTAL PALACE
Bob Bradley is still without a win in the league after 5 matches. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are not having the best of season themselves; suffering 5 straight league defeat to ascertain that fact. But this fixture presents both side with an opportunity to turn their season around. Swansea would be playing in front of their fans in Wales, so it might just be Bob's lucky day.
MY PREDICTION: Swansea City 1-0 Crystal Palace
CHELSEA VS SPURS
This fierce London Derby would be coming at the right time for Chelsea- who have not conceded a goal in their last 6 matches in the League - winning all 6 matches in the process. Spurs also haven't conceded a defeat since the start of the League, setting this weekend's derby for an 'intresting' tie to see. Antonio Conte darling 4-3-3 formation has been working magic and getting opposition confused and disorganized. But, it would be interesting to watch how Mauricio Pochettino unravel the mysteries behind the magic formation that has brought Chelsea balance and supremacy against opponents. Chelsea's lack of continental engagement might just be the deciding factor here.
MY PREDICTION: Chelsea 2-1 Spurs
WATFORD VS STOKE CITY
Stoke City have been enjoying a roller-coaster season until their last weekend's shocking defeat at home to Bournemouth. A result that might has well have dented their confidence going into this clash. I expect Watford to capitalize on that and compound Stoke's woes with a win.
MY PREDICTION: Watford 2-1 Stoke City
ARSENAL VS BOURNEMOUTH
The Gunners would be looking to bounce back from a disappointing week which have seen them drop points at Manutd in the League and also at home to PSG in the UCL on Wednesday. But Bournemouth might not make things easy for their host on the day if they put in an organize performance - which saw them snatch all 3-points at Stoke City last weekend.
MY PREDICTION: Arsenal 2-0 Bournemouth
MANCHESTER UNITED VS WEST HAM
Jose Mourinho side have been experiencing results that has not aligned with an impressive performance displayed in the League; with draws at Old Trafford to Stoke, Burnley and Arsenal affirming that fact. But United might take solace in their convincing 4-0 win over Feyernoord at home in the UEFA Europa League. West Ham were left heartbroken after an injury time penalty kick converted by Harry Kane ensured they leave White Heart Lane with nothing to show for their efforts. They would be seeking to bounce back from that 'painful' defeat when they face United on Sunday.
MY PREDICTION: Man United 2-0 West Ham
SOUTHAMPTON VS EVERTON
Both sides drew at home last weekend and would be wanting to improve on that this weekend - when they clash at the ST Mary's. Southampton showed resolve and organization when they held Liverpool to a goalless draw. While Everton were forced to share the spoils at home to struggling Swansea City. It would be interesting to see how this one pans out. But I must make my predictions. So, I would be going for stalemate in this one. Though Southampton might as well win it.
MY PREDICTION: Southampton 1-1 Everton
