Odiko Godwin's EPL MW 10 Predictions

Welcome to another weekend of exciting Premier League actions after all the excitement of victories and anguish of defeats that came with the EFL Cup actions in mid-week. As usual, here are my thoughts and predictions for Match Week 10.

SUNDERLAND VS ARSENAL

Sunderland still without a win in the League, they face an uphill task in challenging an Arsenal side who are unbeaten since their opening day defeat to Liverpool. David Moyes and his wards would be looking to upset the Gunners at the stadium of light, but it is their poor run of form and the lack of confidence brewing around the players - that might turn out to be their undoing. Everything seem to be pointing to an Arsenal win here, but in a league where impossible is nothing, Arsenal might still be in for a shocker.

MY PREDICTION: Sunderland 1-3 Arsenal

MANCHESTER UNITED VS BURNLEY

Jose Mourinho and his wards would be looking to consolidate on the derby win over City in midweek -when they face a 'decent' Sean Dyche side. United are not experiencing a befitting season at the moment, but still expect them to just win this in front of the massive Old Trafford faithfuls.

MY PREDICTION: Manutd 2-0 BUrnley

MIDDLESBROUGH VS BOURNEMOUTH

Both sides had a decent result last time out against in-form London sides and would be looking to continue on that form in this weekend's clash. Bournemouth seem to be decent on the road so far, with Middlesbrough still trying to adapt to top flight games at home and away, this match is poised to end in stalement.

MY PREDICTION: Middlesbrough 1-1 Bournemouth

TOTTENHAM VS LEICESTER CITY

A 'Premier League classic' is what I will tag this clash - as it promises to be highly entertaining. This clash would see current league 'champions up against last season's third runner up - after Leicester surprisingly stole the title off Spur's nose. Still unbeaten in the league so far, Pochettino would be looking to manage his side to another impressive outing - when they welcome the champions to the White Hart Lane. I expect Leicester to give the host a run for their money after impressing last time out against Crystal Palace.

MY PREDICTION: Spurs 2-2 Leicester City

WATFORD VS HULL CITY

Hull City are 'so dip in form' at the moment with four league defeats in a role, and this match present that sort of opportunity to try and turn things around. But they face a daunting task; when they come up against a Watford team - who have picked up four points from a possible six in their last two away outing in the league.

MY PREDICTION: Watford 1-0 Hull City

WEST BROM VS MANCHESTER CITY

Pep Guardiola is having a kind of 'rough edge' at the moment, having failed to register a win in his last six outings in all competitions. City would come into this clash - aiming to win it and also try to bounce back from their derby day defeat to United in the EFL Cup. It wouldn't be easy for the Citizens, as Tony Pulis would also be looking to exploit City's weakness; having scored most of their goals from set pieces this season in the league. But I expect City to just nick it.

MY PREDICTION: West Brom 1-2 Man City

CRYSTAL PALACE VS LIVERPOOL

Crystal Palace having being reinvigorate at some point in the season - only to get dashed a heavy blow at Leicester last time out, would be interested in getting something significant from this fixture. But it is a very in-form Liverpool side; that seems to be scoring goals freely that they would try and overcome. Expect to see fireworks in this very encounter - as both teams battles it out for supremacy on Match Week 10.

MY PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 1-1 Liveroool

EVERTON VS WEST HAM

Ronald Koeman described their last weekend defeat at Burnley as 'shocking', and would be keen on avoiding a repeat of such at home to the Hammers. Decent side - West Ham, but I would fancy an Everton win here.

MY PREDICTION; Everton 1-0 West Ham

SOUTHAMPTON VS CHELSEA

The Saints have been enjoying a decent run of form lately, and would try and show that, when they welcome Antonio Conte's Chelsea to the Saint Marys this weekend. it would be interesting to see how things pans out between the two - as I expect both sides to match each other on the pitch.

MY PREDICTION: Southampton 2-2 Chelsea

STOKE CITY VS SWANSEA CITY

Stoke have been impressive lately, after getting over their run of poor results at the start of the season; having won their last two league fixtures. While, Bob Bradley is still looking for his first win as a Premier League manager. He might just be forced to wait for another fixture to achieve that feat.

MY PREDICTION: Stoke City 2-1 Swansea City

  1. It's as though Sunderland are cursed despite having a host of experienced players. For me City west Brom and Southampton Chelsea have high potentials for a draw.

    1. The Sunderland calamity seems diabolical as one can't really pinpoint the cause of their decline in the league. Maybe the Moyes syndrome lol

    1. Thanks sir. But I am not with you on a sunderland win against Arsenal. They need to do something extraordinary if they are to get anything from this clash.

  3. Sunderland win ke? From where biko? If they know what's good for them, they should just rehire Sam Allardyce since he's a free agent otherwise relegation is too sure this time around.
