Odiko Godwin's EPL Match Day 9 Predictions

Nice having you join me as I take you through my thoughts and predictions for match day 9.

BOURNEMOUTH VS TOTTENHAM

The 'Cherries enjoyed a roller-coaster weekend last time out - as they hit Hull for 6. But this weekend, they face the only unbeaten side in the league; Spurs. The london club would be looking at continuing their unbeaten run, and I back them to remain unbeaten after match day 9.

MY PREDICTION: Bournemouth 1-2 Spurs

ARSENAL VS MIDDLESBROUGH

The Gunners are enjoying purple-patch in the season at the moment - winning their last six matches in all competitions. At home to struggling Middlesbrough, expect Arsenal to come out top once again.

MY PREDICTION: Arsenal 2-0 Middlesbrough

BURNLEY VS EVERTON

Impressive with their showing last time out at City; ensuring they shared the spoils, Everton would be  looking to consolidate on that when they face Burnley this weekend. But Burnley are not a side to write off at home, especially with the manner in which they overcame Liverpool this season at home. I expect the match to be very difficult for Ronald Koeman and his wards, but I see Everton coming out of this one with a win.

MY PREDICTION: Burnley 0-1 Everton

HULL CITY VS STOKE CITY

This is a tie Hull manager Mike Phelan really needs to win to restore confidence to his side. While, Stoke boss Mark Hughs needs to win this tie to help continue the revival 'The Potters' are experiencing of recent. It would be interesting to see how this pans out.

MY PREDICTION: Hull City 1-1 Stoke City

LEICESTER CITY VS CRYSTAL PALACE

Both sides were defeated last weekend in the league and would be looking to bounce back with a positive result from this fixture. Leicester are now guaranteed qualification from their UEFA Champions League group, and should now be focused now on rescuing their downturn in the league.

MY PREDICTION: Leicester 2-1 Crystal Palace

SWANSEA CITY VS WATFORD

Unfortunate not to have gotten any thing from their visit to the Emirates last weekend, new Swansea boss - Bob Bradley would be seeking his first points when he battles Walter Mazzari's Watford this weekend. This tie would be exciting to see and I expect both sides to give fans a run for their money.

MY PREDICTION: Swansea City 2-1 Watford

WEST HAM VS SUNDERLAND

After weeks of unpleasant results, the 'Hammers' are gradually finding their feet again in the league. They face a side still without a win in the league so far and are buttom of the log with just two points so far. I expect West Ham to win this one.

MY PREDICTION: West Ham 2-0 Sunderland

LIVERPOOL VS WEST BROM

Liverpool are one the league's top performers recently and would try to prove that to their Match Day 9 opponent when they square up at Anfield this weekend. Though, Tony Pulis's team is not one to easily 'write off -  as emphasised by Klopp in his pre match conference. Yet, I still back the Reds to get all three points from this encounter.

MY PREDICTION: Liverpool 2-1 West Brom

MANCHESTER CITY VS SOUTHAMPTON

The Citizens are without a win in their last four matches in all competitions, and should be focused on getting back to winning ways this weekend at home. But their Match Day opponent would be looking to capitalize on City's struggles in recent time - to try and get something from the tie. But I back Pep Guardiola to get it right this time around with a win.

MY PREDICTION: Man City 3-1 Southampton

CHELSEA VS MANCHESTER UNITED

This fixture means a return to the Bridge for the first time; since Jose Mourinho got axed last season from Chelsea. Mourinho known to be a 'Big match' performer - would be wanting to prove his critics wrong and would be seeking to get something from this clash. The match is set to be highly entertaining for neutrals, as Antonio Conte and his wards look to build on their recent run of form in the league. I would settle for a draw in this epic clash.

MY PREDICTION: Chelsea 1-1 Manutd

  1. For me i see a draw in Liverpool West Brom likewise City Southampton. The saints shouldn't be underestimated while any Pulis side knows how to defend extremely well.
