On today’s Episode we got the privilege to interview Warri wolves and Super Eagles player Lordson Ichull Ter’ade. It was an exciting time out with the NPFLstar.
LORDSON: Thanks.
SO HOWARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO WARRI WOLVES MATCH AGAINST HEARTLAND TOMORROW?
LORDSON: it is not going to be easy for both teams. Because, you know both teams will be playing each for a reason. Warri wolves will be playing to still remain in the title race while heartland will be playing to still stay high up in the league. And both teams have experience players. That is the game for you. But I am out of the clash with a groin injury.
SO SAD TO KNOW THAT LORDSON, OK WAS THAT THE REASON YOU HAD TO LEAVE THE SUPER EAGLES CAMP?
LORDSON: the reason is best known to the coaches; we were already informed that five to six players will be selected so that’s fair enough. But that doesn’t those that weren’t selected did not put in their best.
SO HOW WAS THE EXPERIENCE LIKE WORKING UNDER OLISEH?
It was a great feeling for me to work under the most admirable defensive player during his playing days, so it was so special to me been coached by him, within the short period of time I stayed in camp.
ALRIGHT THAT’S GOOD. HOW IS THE FEELING LIKE IN THE SUPER EAGLES CAMP AMONGST THE PLAYERS?
LORDSON: great feeling most especially when you meet your friends that are playing in the same league or your former team mates, it makes it even more interesting.
NICE, HOW DO YOU VISUALIZE THE SUPER EAGLES UNDER NEW COACH SUNDAY OLISEH IN THE NEXT FOUR YEARS LORDSON?
LORDSON; he is a good tactician, but he needs to be given time, with time, under Oliseh eagles will be more super than before.
WONDERFUL, NOW LETS SHIFT FOCUS TO YOUR TEAM WARRI WOLVES, HOW CONFIDENT ARE YOU ABOUT CLINCHING THE TITLE?
LORDSON: Very much confident. Because, it will come as surprise to other clubs. All we want to do now is to steal it. Why I said steal is because many are tipping sunshine and Enyimba alone, so we coming behind will just be like a thief.
LOL, YOU ARE QUITE OPTIMISTIC LORDSON
LORDSON: true words from me to you Goddy.
IT IS ALL OVER THE MEDIA THAT WARRI WOLVES MANAGEMENT ARE STILL OWNING THEIR PLAYERS SALARY, HOW TRUE IS THAT?
LORDSON: It is very true.
HOW MANY MONTHS SALARY?
LORDSON: Six months and sign on fees plus match bonuses both for league and continental matches.
THAT’S BAD OF THE BOARD, HOW HAS THE PLAYERS BEEN COPING IN THIS HARSH CONDITIONS?
LORDSON: I tire o
HOW DO YOU THINK THIS KIND OF A THING CAN BE CURBEDIN OUR LEAGUE AND WHAT HAS THE LMC DONE CONCERNING THE ISSUE?
LORDSON: My problem is that even the LMC has not put the interest of the players first. All they want is to make the league like the once in Europe, but the Europeans put the interest of the players first, that is why the players put all their best to play for their clubs more than even their countries. The players are the main architect of the league as a whole, so why is it always the players that are the last to be taken care of in the NPFL? LMC has given the board of Warri wolves 60 days to forfeit their financial agreement with their players.
OK GOOD, SO WITH THIS CHALLENGES, DO YOU THINK WARRI WOLVES STILL GOT THE MOTIVATION TO “STEAL” THETITLE FROM ENYIMBA AND SUNSHINE STARS?
LORDSON ; We the players are playing for pride, even as there is no money, we have self esteem to up hold that is why we are still playing with hunger, now talk more of when we are motivated. So that is where the will power will come from.
OK THAT IS VERY INSPIRING, HOW DO YOU THINK THIS KIND OF A THING CAN BE STOPPED IN OUR LEAGUE?
LORDSON; They know the right thing to do.
OK, WHAT ARE YOUR AMBITIONS AT THE BEGININNING OF THE SEASON AND HAVE YOU ACHIEVED ANY?
LORDSON: My ambition was to win the title and score goals, which I have scored 3 goals from the defensive midfield position. So it is fair but I still want more. As for the title, am still fighting for it.
ALRIGHT YOU HAVE GOT HIGH AMBITIONS MAN. NOW LETS TALK ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL LIFE. DOES YOUR WIFE FOLLOW THE LEAGUE BEFORE YOU MARRIED HEROR YOU INFLUENCED HER DUE TO YOUR MARITAL RELATIONSHIP
LORDSON: She was just following my team then at AbS, but now she follows the league.
WHERE DID YOU MEET HER?
LORDSON; I met her at ABS football club secretariat when I was playing for ABS then.
WOULD YOU ALSO WANT YOUR KIDS TO PLAY FOOTBALL?
LORDSON; Sure o.
LOL, OK. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FOOTBALL TEAM ABROAD?
LORDSON: Chelsea.
NOT AGAIN, LAST WEEK PETER ONYEKACHI ALSO TOLD US HE IS A BIG FAN OF CHELSEA. DOES IT MEAN MOST LEAGUE PLAYERS ARE CHELSEA FANS?
LORDSON; That I can’t tell.
OK, WHAT ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE PLAYER?
LORDSON: Lampard.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE NIGERIAN PLAYER STILL PLAYING FOOTBALL NOW?
LORDSON: Kola Anubi of Rangers.

LORDSON; Ibenegbu A.K.A Mosquito

LORDSON ; At kwara academy it was Francis Obialor A.K.A Arewa, at ABS FC it was Stone Evbuomwam Iyke and now at Warri Wolves it is Osadiaye Joseph A.K.A Spirit. My best moment as a footballer was when I scored a goal in the Warri township stadium and I ran to where my wife was seated and as she rushed down to meet me in front of the crowd present there I kissed her. And my message to my fans is that they should still remain patience with me because I still got more to offer them as am just 21years old.

LORDSON; Very sure of it.
LASTLY DJDICA ASKED TO KNOW IF IT IS RIGHT FOR STATE GOVERNMENT TO RUN FOOTBALL CLUBS IN NIGERIA AND WANTS TO KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO OWN A CLUBIN NIGERIA WHEN YOU RETIRE
LORDSON; Yeah, it is right for state government to own a football club. And on me owning a club when I retire? If I have better funds to run a club why not.
