MR Azeez : It's been continuity, hard work, and competition in the team. ABU, WE KNOW YOU ARE A MIDFIELDER. BUT DO YOU HAVE ANY GOAL TARGET FOR THIS SEASON? MR Azeez : Am a striker,a winger, a midfielder, as long as am playing I just want to have a double figure dis season, thats my target. OK, NICE TO KNOW YOU ARE THAT VERSATILE. MR Azeez : Yeah, Thank You. WHAT ALWAYS RUN THROUGH YOUR MIND WHEN YOU ARE BEEN SELECTED TO START A GAME? MR Azeez : Just to do my best, possibly not disappoint, get a goal or an assist, atleast to play very well in the game. WARRI WOLVES IS JUST 4 POINTS ADRIFT OF TABLE LEADER SUNSHINE STARS. ARE YOU STILL VERY OPTIMISTIC YOUR TEAM CAN WIN THE LEAGUE? MR Azeez : Yeah, very well, the team is doing very well at the moment, we believe we can catch up with the leaders any moment from now. WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE PROBLEM WITH NIGERIAN CLUBS CONTINENTALLY, WHY DO THEY PERFORM SO POOR IN THE CONTINENT? MR Azeez : Maybe we need to concentrate on the league more, secondly using my club as an example, we lost out of the continent because of the stress we went through in congo. We had to be on the road for 3days plus for a journey to congo, we were so weak, fatigue cost us the game in congo. THAT'S HORRIBLE! WHAT DO YOU THINK CAN BE DONE TO CURB THIS KIND OF IRREGULARITIES IN OUR CLUBS PLAYING CONTINENTAL FOOTBALL? MR Azeez : We should take the continental games more seriously, prepare on time and ahead of emergencies, motivate and encourage the teams well. Remember dolphins were walked over, warri wolves traveled 3days for a match, all this could be avoided. TALKING ABOUT MOTIVATION, DO YOU THINK PLAYERS IN THE LEAGUE ARE BEEN MOTIVATED BY THEIR BOARD WELL ENOUGH IN TERMS OF SALARY AND BONUSES? MR Azeez : Yes, they are trying tho, but sometimes, its been delayed for too long, and I think they can still do more in this aspect. I KNOW ITS KIND OF PERSONAL BUT CAN YOU JUST GIVE US THE SALARY ESTIMATE AND BONUS OF NIGERIAN CLUBS? MR Azeez : Salaries between 80 to 150k in my club, bonus is 30k, thats for my club, I don't Know about other clubs. OK THAT'S COOL. LET'S TALK NATIONAL A BIT. WITH THE NEW SUPER EAGLES COACH ON BOARD, ARE YOU EYING A SUPER EAGLES CALL UP UNDER OLISEH? MR Azeez : No one would deny not eyeing a call up, if am given the opportunity, I will gladly honour it, if am not, I will keep working hard, someday,I will. SOME PUNDITS HAVE BEEN CLAMORING FOR MORE HOME BASED PLAYERS IN THE SUPER EAGLES, DON'T YOU THINK THE LEAGUE STILL NEEDS TIME FOR US TO DEPEND SOLELY ON HOME BASED PLAYERS AS THE MAJORITY IN THE SUPER EAGLES? MR Azeez : We already have some good and tested players still playing in the league here, that this players can perform well but not solely as super eagles. The foreign based players will do the job with a mix of good home based players. COACH IMAMA AMAPAKABO OF RANGERS ON THIS PROGRAM LAST WEEK SAID THE REASON WHY WE ARE HAVING MUCH FANS IN OUR STADIUM THIS SEASON IS DUE TO THE kEEN COMPETITION GOING ON IN THE LEAGUE. DO YOU AGREE WITH HIM OR IS IT BECAUSE THE OVERSEA LEAGUES ARE ON BREAK? MR Azeez : Yes, I agree with him, every team in nigeria now is ready to give a big fight to other teams coming to play, the competition now is massive, With the way fans are coming to watch our league matches now, even when the European league starts, I foresee just a few reduction in fans attendance. WE GO TO YOUR ROMANTIC LIFE NOW. IS THERE ANY LADY IN YOUR LIFE OR IS MR ABU STILL SINGLE AND SEARCHING? MR Azeez : Am single but not searching. WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CLUB ABROAD? ADEYEYE PETER WANTS TO KNOW HOW MANY GOALS YOU HAVE SCORED FOR THE SAND EAGLES. MR Azeez : 63 was the last I calculated @Adeyeye. OGUNBOWALE BANARBAS WANTS TO KNOW WHICH CLUB IS YOUR NEXT DESTINATION? MR Azeez : For now, I wouldn't wanna disclose anything, am a warri wolves player, when am moving, it won't be hidden. TAIWO JAYEOBA SAYS WITH THE CALIBER OF PLAYERS IN WARRI WOLVES, CAN YOU GUYS WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP? MR Azeez : Of course Yes, warri wolves has one of the best team in Nigeria, at a time, 6 or 7 players were in the Super eagles, while 2 in the Olympic team. AQUILA OGBOVWAN WANTS TO KNOW YOUR DREAM FOR WARRI WOLVES AND SECONDLY WHOM YOU WOULD LOVE TO BE PAIRED WITH IN THE ATTACK? MR Azeez : My dream is to win the League and to the second question, uhmmmmmm(thinking), Gbolahan or maybe Sikiru.
