Political Corner - KOGI STATE: WADA's GOVERNANCE-A TALE OF INCOMPETENCY,FRAUD AND LIES by Godwin Itopa

Looking back at the manner at which capt. Idris Wada came to power was very funny and full of crises and controversy. From coming in through the back door to grab the gubernatorial ticket to being sworn in to office by the president of magistrate court who in all ramification is not the highest office of judiciary at State level ( Chief justice of the State). Since that moment the turn out of events have been a laughable,epileptic,paralytic and arguably a governance of shame,scam and incompetence. Yes,some school of thought might argue that he belongs to the ruling party as at then(PDP) and the party couldn't check mate his moves,well I ask this question in return- haven't you seen cases where a child never possess the traits and characters of his parents,the very reason for their existence? From the BEE Keeping(farming) program that a mammoth sum of N2billion that never materialized till date,to various claims of youth empowerment that only worsen the poverty rate amongst the youth. Now they have claimed to make available nearly N225m worth of loan to rural farmers at a profit rate of %8 annually,In the end believe me they will end up granting loans to 'Long Legged people' in the society- what a shame,how are the rich getting richer and the poor getting screwed. Upon his campaigns he had promised heavens and garden of eden like a promiscuous man who simply can't control his tongue on making promises he can't keep when making love to his mistress. The looting and lies in this State has lead to the steady decline in GDP over the years,workers haven't been paid for God knows how long,government owned primary schools on strike over unpaid wages,state general hospitals on strike for the past 8months over the same reason,yet he dare to say his achievements will speak for him. With the level of loot&curuption in this state, I am left with no choice than to believe that even the BUCCANEERS of the 17th century will be greening with Envy in their graves as a result of this unrepentant and sheer act of greed. Unlike leaders in the past who sort to loot public funds and feed us with lies and empty promises,Banjo Amoto Moses(BAM) has a strong resolution to transform Kogi state into an industrialized economy, He therefore argued-How can a state rich in limestone,coal,iron-ore,precious stone,Gold and agricultural produce still fall back on the federal govt for revenue generation? It is unheard of,it is unthinkable,it is a perpetual act of wickedness to Kogi state and Her future unborn. My brothers,sisters,fathers and mothers, it is time we arise and shun politics of sentiments,tribalism,clan,religious and personal interest. A Vote for BAM is a vote to secure the future of kogi state. Are we willing to gamble the faith of our youths and the future in the hands of tested and failed politicians??? Godwin Itopa.
