Erik Ten Hag needs to win at Mourinho's Fenerbahce to save job
Manchester United's victory against Brentford at Old Trafford on Saturday was their first victory in six matches. Erik Ten Hag's Men needed to come from behind to claim the three maximum points on the day.
Manchester United's players gave a below par performance in the first half but improved their performance in the second half to produce two fantastic goals that sealed three points. The victory obviously bought more time for Erik Ten Hag but a defeat at Fenerbahce might spell doom for the Dutch tactician.
Jose Mourinho and his boys will be out to prove a point on Thursday but the Red Devils have to put up a spirited performance to ensure they leave Turkey with all three points. Because a defeat in turkey will get Erik Ten Hag walking on a tight rope even if he doesn't get the sack.
Liverpool are genuine title contenders not pretenders
The Reds secured an important victory at home to in-form Chelsea to send a clear message to all and sundry about their title ambitions. Though it is still early days but Arne Slot's men have showed that they will be up there contending for the title alongside Manchester City and Arsenal.
Liverpool under new boss Arne Slot have secured win against high profile teams in the league like Manchester United and Chelsea. The new Liverpool boss is doing the talk on the field and the Red fans are already fast forgetting about the legendary Jurgen Klopp.
Barcelona are running away with the title early
Barcelona walloped Sevilla 5-1 to secure their ninth win out of ten games in the league this season. The victory on Sunday night put them three points ahead of rivals Real Madrid. Though it's still early days, the signs are clear for everyone to know that Barcelona are focused on claiming the title from Real Madrid this season.
Barcelona will face Real Madrid next in the league and the result from that game might signify where the title will be heading come the end of the season. But Barcelona will be going into the El Classico with confidence having won nine out of ten games in the league this season.
