Analysis from Manchester United's 3-2 win against Nottingham Forest

The Red Devils came from two goals down to clinch victory in front of the Old Trafford crowd. So what were the talking points from the game? Read on to find out...

Bruno Fernandes showed class

The captain of Manchester United had really underwhelmed in the opening two games against Wolves and Tottenham but redeemed himself with a performance of quality against Nottingham Forest.

He was a constant threat in the opposition's half all through out the match. And it was only natural for him to get rewarded for all his efforts with a goal. If the Manchester United's captain can build on this performance then Manchester United fans can expect many more happy days.

Rashford is suffering a performance dip

Marcus Rashford is yet to replicate the form he showed last season that saw him scored over 30 goals across all competitions for Manchester United. Though he still showed some threat playing at the left hand side of Manchester United's attack but his overall performance was average or even below average. Manchester United fans will be hoping he rediscover his last season form on time so the club can be successful this season.

Antony is not a Manchester United standard

The Brazilian is yet to justify his big money move from Ajax last season. Apart from some flashes of brilliance here and there especially when he curls the ball from the right with his left foot into the back of the net. Aside that he virtually offers nothing more. He can't take a defender on or even provide assist for others to score. He shouldn't be starting games at a club of Manchester United's standard.

Awoniyi is Forest's most dangerous player

The Nigerian remains Forest most dangerous player and showed his quality with just two minutes into the match. The Nigerian striker has now scored in all three of Forest's matches so far this season. If he continues like this, he is really going to give the Super Eagles head coach some headache when trying to choose between him and Victor Osimhen on who to lead the Super Eagles attack.
