Who will win the league? Which teams will make the top four? Can Harry Kane defend his Golden Boot? And where will Leicester finish? Here's what the experts had to say...
WHO WILL WIN THE LEAGUE?
ODIKO GODWIN: Chelsea
I would be very glad if Manutd win the league, but I am sticking with Chelsea to surprise many this season. They have got a new manager in Conte who I like to describe as a "Fighter" and with the latest acquisition of Nkolo Kante from Leicester City, you should be expecting a very formidable midfield partnership with Cesc Fabregas. No european football for Chelsea also means they will have time to focus on the league than majority of their rivals who would be engaged in one european tourney or the other, also leaving the players fresher than rivals for league games.
USMAN LUKMAN: Manchester City
City for the past 4 years have been favorites, and even more now, because they have arguably world's best coach in Pep Guardiola.
MICHAEL OSAREME: Manchester City
Guardiola has come to the Premier League after unstinting success at Barcelona and Bayern Munich, leaving a deep impact in both Spain and Germany. He will be making a similar impression in England,
pushing tactical innovations to the next level.
There will be a total turnaround in how City play. They will be more surgical in their attacks and they will snap into a pressing game not with the gentle strolls of sated millionaires but like hungry dogs
fighting for their lives.
WHICH TEAM WOULD MAKE THE TOP FOUR?
ODIKO GODWIN:
1- Chelsea 2- Man City 3- Manutd 4- Arsenal
USMAN LUKMAN:
1- Man City 2- Man Utd 3- Chelsea 4- Arsenal
MICHAEL OSAREME:
1-Man City 2- Manutd 3- Liverpool 4- Arsenal
GOLDEN BOOT WINNER?
ODIKO GODWIN:
I will go with Sergio Aguero if he can mange to stay fit for the season.
USMAN LUKMAN:
I will go with Ibrahimovic, because he's a player like Suarez, Messi and Ronaldo you can't keep him from scoring.
MICHAEL OSAREME:
Harry Kane? No Chance. Because winning the EPL golden boot demands a whole lot. There will be competitors everywhere. Sergio Aguero, Zlatan Ibramovich, Nolito, Diego Costa, Divock Origi, Jamie Vardy et all. Top strikers in the league this season. I honestly expect Harry Kane to be displaced as the league's highest goal scorer.
WHERE WOULD LEICESTER FINISH?
ODIKO GODWIN:
The pressure that comes with the "current league holders" tag might prove too much to handle for the foxes. Champions league football participation will also be a factor, and their positioning on the log after match day 38 might depend on how far they go in the UEFA champions league. If they get booted out early, it might help them concentrate more on the league. So I will go for a 6th place finish on the log for Leicester at the end of the season.
USMAN LUKMAN:
Leicester City to finish 9th. Here is how I expect the top 10 clubs to be ranked at the end of the season; Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, West Ham, Everton, Leicester and Southampton.
MICHAEL OSAREME:
Last season was a fairytale season for Leicester City, who with determination and team spirit were able to defy all odds and lift the league title for the very first time in the club's history. Football fans all over the world were thrilled to witness such a feat, in which even the Tinker man, Claudio Ranieri acknowledged that it won't be repeated in years to come. The question now is; where will Leicester city finish at the end of this season?
In the season gone by, Opponents were too slow to adapt to their counter-attacking gameplan are now likely to devote more attention to stopping them. And while Leicester showed great unity last
season, they have suffered two crucial defections, with ball-winner extraordinary N’Golo Kante joining Chelsea and their talent-spotting assistant manager Steve Walsh off to Everton. There are questions, too, about RiyadMahrez’s future.
Top six will be a perfect position for Leicester to end the season.
